What Have I Been Writing?
Thank you to all who have written me to ask about my next series. The next series is for Harlequin Intrigue and includes four romantic suspense titles. The setting is a bit different. Protectors at Heart takes place in the Adirondack Mountains in New York State and the US-Canadian border. My first story in the series is Defensive Action. At the start, a foreign operative delivers intelligence of an upcoming biological attack into the hands of my hero, an experience CIA operative, and a most unlikely partner. My heroine’s transformation from liability to asset was my favorite part of writing this story.
I have completed the first three in the Protectors at Heart series. The first two are edited and in production and the third is currently being edited. I’m writing book four, Dangerous Conditions, right now. I love the fourth book as it is often my favorite hero of the entire series. (Clyne Cosen, Jack Bear Den and Ty Redhorse). This time it’s Logan Lynch. He is a Silver Star recipient who can’t remember his heroic actions and suffers from some chronic limitations because of a traumatic brain injury. His small town has given him a job as a deputy sheriff, mainly out of sympathy and respect. They expect nothing but a town greeter because his post is more ceremonial than actual, until it isn’t. A hit and run brings Logan into a real investigation, one that only someone with his unique perspective could unravel. Anyway, I’m really enjoying this one!
