Best Beach Gear for Readers
Whether you prefer to bring your entire library on your eReader, or the freedom and low-risk of a single paperback, you might want to pack a few extra goodies in that beach bag. Here are my top eight beach accessory must-have products.
DRY POUCH

I do love my eReader but I don't love guarding my electronics at the beach or protecting them from the elements of sand, salt water and the occasional pop-up thunderstorm. That's why I pack the upscale version of a ziplock baggie in a Dry Pouch.
PORTABLE TABLE

There are many varieties of this and the one I use is a fold-able plastic deal. I like the ones that fold or the ones that spike right into the sand. Having a table for drinks and some munchies definitely improves my beach outing.
SPIKED CUP HOLDER

A more simple, low-tech version of the table is the spiked drink holder that is useful for more than just drinks. Keep your mobile close at hand and out of the sand or a snack. This more portable version of the table is very handy.
CHAIR RACKS

The variety of available racks surprises me, but it shouldn't. Choose a simple double drink or one that will fit your mobile phone, drinks and your eReader. This device clips right onto your chair, which is amazing!

Natural Redheads like me need more than our SPF50 to keep out of the sun. I used to use an umbrella beside my chair, but had to dig a hole and keep readjusting it throughout the day. This clip-on model attaches to your chair, extends and seems easy to direct to keep you in the shade.

You can't spend all day reading without working up an appetite. I love the idea of this highly mobile grill. Of course, this would require fast cooking or a cooler to keep those grillables cool until cooking time. Still, this grill looks like the perfect size for a barbecue for two!
